7 Union Ministers Assigned Job Of Coordination In Non-BJP States, Mahesh Sharma In Odisha

With eyes set on strengthening the party base in non-BJP ruled states, BJP President Amit Shah has assigned the task of coordinating the party’s work in some such states to seven Union Ministers.

A party release said, BJP leader and Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman has been given the charge of West Bengal.

Power Minister Piyush Goyal will pay special attention to coordinate the organisational work in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, while Minister of State for Skill Development and Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy will take care of Kerala.

Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has been assigned the task of coordinating party work in Assam, while another Minister Mahesh Sharma has been asked to coordinate party work in Odisha.

Another Union Minister Hansraj Ahir will coordinate the organisation’s affairs in Telangana. All these states are non-BJP ruled states.

However, the party’s General Secretary and Union Minister JP Nadda has been given the task of coordinating organisational work in Andhra Pradesh, where BJP shares power with its ally TDP.
