Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Launches Official Portal For Nabakebar-2015

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the official web portal for Nabakalebar 2015.
While launching the portal Thursday , Patnaik said the Web portal would not only create awareness but also enable devotees, visitors and tourists to find relevant information about the Nabakalebara event.
The main objective of the digital campaign is to make Nabakalebara a ‘World Event’, to woo tourists from the country and abroad and to inform the people about various rituals of Nabakalebar, the history of Puri, art and crafts of Odisha. Though the web portal was launched keeping in view the coming Nabakalebar but it would be regularly updated to promote the art, craft and tourism of the state through out the year.
The campaign was launched from today through a State of Art dynamic website www.nabakalebara.gov.in, a user friendly mobile application in Android, iOS and Windows platforms, and extensive social media campaign “Nabakalebara 2015 Official” on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Google Plus platforms.
IT Secretary P K Jena said the website would have ten sections.They were Art gallery, audio, video gallery, utility sections, accommodation, srikhetra,culture and tourism, Nabakalebar, news and publication sector.
One can get information about Nabakalebara, Story of Daru Bramha, role of Sevayats, on Going Rituals, about Sreekshetra, Trinity, Tourism and Culture. places to visit around Puri and in Odisha. Accommodation details, Nabakalebara news, Twitter Speaks, videos and Photos and information of Health and safety Parking places and local travel from the website.
A book ”Report on Temple of Jagannath ”written by Charles Chromes and George Web in 1820 was placed on the website for the benefit of the people.
The mobile application will have the following features: Factoids, Schedule, Maps – Online and Offline, Helpline, Utilities such as banks, police stations, Hospitals etc. tourist spots, videos, books, gallery, recent news . The social media campaign will cover the event news, interesting facts about the Nabakalebara and Puri temple and tourism related information.
Minister for IT, Pranab Prakash Das, I and PR Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda and senior bureaucrats of different departments were present at the launching ceremony
