Rahul Proposes Partnership Among Industrialists, Farmers & Labourers

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today proposed partnership of Industrialists, farmers and labourers in the industries coming up in farm lands.

He addressed a public meeting at Wadial in Adilabad district in Telangana after holding a 15-kilo meter long Padyatra to console families of the farmers who committed suicide due to farm distress.

Criticizing the NDA Government’s new Land Acquisition Bill, the Congress vice president said, it wants to snatch the land from farmers and give it to businessmen.

Earlier in the day, braving the sweltering heat, Mr Gandhi has taken up the 15-kilometer long Padyatra, high lighting the problems of the distressed farmers in Adilabad District of Telangana.

He called on the families of those farmers who committed suicide and assured them that the Congress party will stand by them.
