Sharad Pawar Resigns as NCP President

Veteran politician Sharad Pawar on Tuesday announced that he is stepping down as the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
“I am resigning from the post of the national president of NCP,” said Pawar adding “I know where to stop and one has to stop some where”.
He said , “ I am retiring as party president for from party or politics”.
Sharad Pawar founded NCP in 1999. He has been working as Party president since inception. He held the position of party chief for 24 years.
Meanwhile , Ajit Pawer hinted that a committee would select the new Chief. But senior party leader Prafulla Patel said that senior Pawar would be requested to reconsider his decision.
Leaders broke down as Pawer resigned .The party workers are however not ready to accept the decision of Sharad Pawer and are appealing to reconsider the decision.
