PM Modi Announces $ One Billion Line Of Credit To Mongolia

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced one Billion US Dollars line of credit for Mongolia.
Addressing a joint press conference with his Mongolian counterpart in Ulan Bator, Modi said Mongolia is an integral part of India’s ‘Act East Policy’ and we can work together to advance peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
He said we are starting a new era in our partnership and we will take our economic partnership to a new level. The Prime Minister said, our agreements cover economic relations, development partnership, security and people-to-people partnerships. He said, our agreements will deepen cooperation in border security and cybre security. Modi said, we attach high importance to our security cooperation.

India and Mongolia have signed several agreements to further boost bilateral ties. Both sides have agreed to expand their cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, information and technology, education, healthcare and cyber security.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation level talks with his Mongolian counterpart Saikhanbileg D Sunday.
Modi was accorded ceremonial welcome at Changage Khan square this morning. Prime Minister also visited Gandan Monastery where he gifted a sapling of Maha Bodhi tree to its head Hamba Lama. Modi arrived in Ulan Bator last night, in the second leg of his three-nation visit.
