Modi Led NDA Government Is Trying To Destroy Educational Systerm In The Country : Congress
24 May, Bhubaneswar
AICC Spokesperson Dr.Ajay Kumar today alleged that the BJP led government at the Centre was trying to destroy the educational system in the country.
Talking to reporters here, Dr Kumar said the Union government and the Sangh Parivar were playing with the future of the young generation by approving the creation of Bharatiya Sikhya Niti Ayog advocated by RSS affilated Sikha Sanskruti Uthan Nyas to Indianize the education system.
During the BJP government’s one year in power, intentionally induced ‘institutional paralysis’ and diffusion of education through malicious controversies was shattering the educational system, he said. Dr Kumar also said the gains of literacy, talent and skill made during the last six decades were being frittered away to establish false supremacy.
The Union government was impinging the academic autonomy of national institutions like IIT, he alleged and said the Chairman of Board of Governors of IIT Bombay had resigned as HRD Minister Smriti Irani decided to recruit three Directors ignoring the search-cum-selection committee.
The AICC Spokesperson said political pressure was being built up on academicians to resign to pave way for Sangh Parivar loyalists and the government was interfering on signing of MoU for collaboration with foreign universities.
The Congress leader further alleged that crucial academic appointments were being made from under qualified Sangha Parivar loyalists as heads of premier institutions of excellence.
The government led by Narendra Modi also slashed the budgetary allocation for education and abolished the schemes for granting Central assistance for setting up of 6,000 model schools at block level, he remarked.
