Modi And Patnaik Making False Claims Of Achievements : OPCC Chief Harichandan

Odisha Pradesh Congress Commitee Chief (OPCC) Prasad Harichandan Tuesday slammed both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen for making false claims of achievement during their last one year rule.
Harichandan told media here that bothr Modi and Mr.Patnaik had failed miserably in fulfilling the promises made to the people.”While Narendra Modi completed one year of his rule telling only lies to the people, Patnaik ruled the state for 16 years keeping mum,” he said.
The Congress leader said the last one year rule of both Modi and Mr Patnaik was full of failures. Harichandan said while the BJP did just the opposite of what it said, the BJD failed to fulfil the promises it made to the people.The BJP government at the Centre said the country suffered losses to the tunes of lakhs of rupees in coal block allocation made during the UPA government and claimed that it got Rs three lakh crore from the auction of coal blocks.
Harichandan asked if it got so much of resources from one source then why did the government slash the plan outlay by Rs 67,000 crore.The schemes whose plan allocations were slashed included a number of central schemes and central sponsored schemes, he said.
The BJP,the Congress leader said, was talking about making the country corruption free but it has 21 ministers chargesheeted for various heinous crimes including rape, murder and kidnapping.
The PCC chief said a survey conducted by a government organsiation- National Council of Applied Economic Research – showed that an average household in urban area pays a bribe of Rs 4,444 and in rural areas Rs 2900 per anum for his general work.The research conducted in various places of the country, including Odisha, indicated that individuals in cities pay Rs 18,000 per year for securing jobs and transfers. It reflected the transparency in Naveen Patnaik government, he rued.
Harichandan claimed that during the one year rule of the BJP government the prices of petrol, dal and vegetables had increased manifold. The railway fare was hiked by 15 per cent.The BJP government ,he alleged, was now planning to shift the HAL from Odisha to Bengaluru, create a new zone by separating the Vishakhapatnam division from the East Coast and shift the PPL corporate office from Bhubaneswar to Delhi.
The Narendra Modi government,the Congress leader said, had decided not to set up the ESI Medical College and HospitaL at Andharua near Bhubaneswar for which the foundation stone was laid by the UPA government and several crores had already been spent.
The PCC chief said the BJD which has been resorting to agitation at a drop of a hat on the plea of central negligence while the UPA was in power, is now keeping mum and not opening its mouth despite reduction of funds on several central sponsored schemes.
The Congress leader claimed the expansion, technological upgradation and modernisation of the RSP was done during the UPA government but the BJP dispensation was trying to take credit for it
