Skill Development Programme For Drop Outs in Oidsha

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Friday directed the officials to give priority to the school and college drop outs in the skill development programme of the state.
Reviewing the progress of Technical Education and Training department at a meeting here, Patnaik said drop outs from Class eight to 12 would be given preference in the programme.\
Minimum three per cent of posts should be reserved for disabled in the employment oriented programme, the Chief Minister directed. Patnaik told officials to develop a common web based programme to avoid duplication in training programme.
He also directed to strengthen the Employment Mission. The Mission would act as the nodal department for the training programme of all departments.
Official sources said efforts were on to train 11 lakh people in five years to make them employable.
