Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa To Contest From RK Nagar

AIADMK General Secretary and Chief Minster Ms Jayalalithaa will be contesting in the R.K. Nagar assembly constituency by-election scheduled for June 27.

This was announced by the party in a statement Friday .

The DMK had already announced that it would not contest in the by-election .The by-election was necessitated due to the resignation of AIADMK member Vetrivel recently following the Karnataka High Court acquitting Ms Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate assets case.
