SW Monsoon Advances into Parts of Sourth Gujrat, Chhattisgarh,South Odisha and NW Bengal

The southwest monsoon has further advanced into some parts of north Arabian Sea, south Gujrat region, Chhattisgarh, south Odisha and northwest Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of Maharashtra and some parts of Saurashtra and south Madhya Pradesh.The northern limit of Monsoon (NLM) now passes through Veraval, Surat, uijain, Narsinghpur, Raipur, Kallngapatnam, Krishnagar and Dajeeling.
Also conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of north Arabian sea, Gujarat state, remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, northwest Bay of Bengaland west Bengal, some more parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Jharkhand and Bihar during next 3 days.
In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Odisha and Saurashtra and Kutch and were above normal in somr parts of west Rajasthan.
They were markedly below normal in Gangetic West Bengal and of Madhya Pradesh and in remaining parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, appreciably below normal in Chattisgarh, some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, himachal Pradesh and of Gujarat region and in remaining parts of Odisha and were below normalin some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and of east Rajasthan and in remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
The highest maximum temperature of 44.0 deg C has been recorded at Churu (west Rajasthan) in the plains of the country. Thunderstorms occurred at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Rajasthan, west Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, Saurashtra and Kutch,,Vidarbha, Madhy Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu during past 24 hours.
The southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Telanagana and active over Marathwada and Vidarbha. It has been subdued over Rayalaseema. Thunderstorms with squall would occur at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Heavy to very heavy rain would occur at isolated places over Konkan and Goa.
Heavy rain would occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Karnataka. during next 24 hours.
Rain or thundershowers have occured at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and south interior Karnataka and at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura Sub-Himalayan, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, west Rajasthan, east Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather have prevailed in Bihar
