India Beat West Indies by 8 Wickets in First ODI, Take 1-0 Lead in Series

In Men’s Cricket, India beat West Indies with ease by 8 wickets in the first One Day International at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series tonight.

Chasing a target of 296 runs set by West Indies, hosts India made 300 for two in 41.4 overs, with unbeaten 139 runs in 88 balls made by Virat Kohli, while skipper Shubman Gill scored 110 runs.

Earlier, Put into bat first, West Indies posted 295 runs for the loss of seven wickets in stipulated 50 overs. For West Indies, Justin Greaves scored the highest 101 runs off 108 balls.

For India, Kuldeep Yadav claimed four wickets, while Prasidh Krishna bagged two wickets. Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket.
