BJP Files FIR Against Mamata’s Nephew

BJP Tuesday demanded arrest of Trinamool Congress youth president Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, after filing an FIR for his alleged provocative speech in the public.
West Bengal unit’s BJP president Rahul Sinha told at a news conference here that the party has filed the FIR with the Jorasanko police station in central Kolkata for Abhishek Banerjee’s alleged provocative address in the public at Basirhat in North 24 Parganas yesterday.
Sinha alleged that Abhishek, a Lok Sabha member, has publicly threatened to gouge out the eyes and chop off hands of anyone who dares to hurt Bengals interests. He said they have filed the FIR and will move to the court of law tomorrow against the parliamentarian’s provocative speech that bound to have to affect in the minds of people.
” How can a state ruling party politician can utter such thing which bound to cause fear among the common people.” asked Sinha.
Sinha said, “We demand that Abhishek should be arrested immediately for his statement.”He said the AITC leaders were getting frustrated and hence threatening the people as they (people) started getting away from the ruling regime, he added
