Central Govt. To Set Up Jayaprakash Narayan Memorial In Bihar

Union Government on Wednesday decided to set up a national memorial and museum in memory of Jayaprakash Narayan at his birth place at Sitab Diara in Bihar.

Briefing media in New Delhi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh recalled the contribution of Jayaprakash Narayan in raising voice against the Emergency.

He said an institute to undertake research on democracy, the role of panchayats in nation building and Gandhian thoughts will also be set up.

Government will also set up Lok Nayak Khadi Gaurav Samvardhan Kendra at Sitab Diara for making national flags by women clusters. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
