Central Govt To Bring Bill To Stop Match And Spot Fixing In Sports

The Centre will bring a bill to stop irregularities like match and spot fixing in sports.

Union Sports Minister Sarbanand Sonowal said in Guwahati Thursday that inter ministerial consultation on this issue has been done. He said that the matter has been sent to the Law Ministry.

On the issue of death of student in a SAI centre, Sonowal termed the incident very unfortunate. He further said that as per preliminary report, nothing has been pointed out against the SAI.

He said that the parents of the 3 survivors in this case have requested the concerned authority to re-admit their daughters. Sonowal said that SAF games will be held in Guwahati and Shillong this year
