Sources in the police said the Rashtrapati Bhavan had asked for an appropriate action to be taken by the Delhi Police against Modi.
During the past few days, Modi has attacked many senior Indian leaders, landing them into trouble.
While the Congress has already been demanding resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje, who allegedly helped the disgraced cricket moghul Lalit Modi.
While Ms Swaraj has maintained she helped Modi on humanitarian grounds, Ms Rajes explanation for the alleged money deals involving herself, Modi and her MP son Dushyant has been found plausible by theparty.
Earlier in a statement given to the UK authorities, Modi had said that the President set the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after him as he revealed Sunanda Pushkars IPL Kochi stake. These revelations made Congress leader Shashi Tharoor step down as minister in the UPA government.
The ED has already issued notices against Modi and may also issue a Red Corner Notice against him in the prevention of money laundering cases
