PM Modi To Pay Brief Visit To Varanasi On July 16

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a brief visit to the holy city Varanasi on July 16.

According to official sources here today, Modi will reach Varanasi directly from Vishakapatnam.

As per the schedule, Mr Modi’s special aircraft will land at Babatpur airport here at 1510 hrs and he will return to New Delhi at 1945 hrs.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Trauma Centre of the Banaras Hindu University around 1600 hrs and then launch several developmental schemes at DLW, besides addressing the people.The BHU, established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, is one of the largest residential universities in Asia, with over 20,000 students.

Later, he will meet the intellectuals of the city at the airport for about over an hour and thereafter will leave for New Delhi.

Earlier, he was slated to visit Varanasi on June 28 but his visit was cancelled due to bad weather.
