Fake Degree Case: Tomar Sent To Judicial Custody till July 20

A court in New Delhi Monday extended by 14 days the judicial custody of former Delhi minister Jitender Singh Tomar.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tarun Yogesh remanded Tomar to judicial custody till July 20 after Delhi Police said the investigation in the case was in progress.

The court also allowed the police to take specimen signature of Tomar in the presence of a magistrate so as to match the samples with the new documents recovered from different universities in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

During the hearing, counsel appearing for Tomar submitted that the Investigating Officer (IO) should inform the court about the progress they have made in the probe of the case.
