Andhra Pradesh Inks Pact With NEC, Mizuho Bank

As part of the ongoing Japan visit of the AP delegation led by Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh Government has signed two MoUs with Japanese organisations of NEC and Mizuho Bank.
The Memorandum of Understanding was inked between NEC India Pvt Ltd and Andhra Pradesh Technology Services Limited which is a part Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
As part of the MoU, NEC will support APTS in areas of IT pertaining to citizen services, education, future cities projects, maximizing learning, economic and social outcomes for the region, GDP growth, foreign direct investment, youth employment, social participation and academic performance of the state and internationally-comparable assessments in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
As part of collaboration, NEC and APTS will work on the lines in designing and implementing a Safe City Project at Tirupati in Chittoor District, an official release from CM’s office said here today.
The MoU also mentions that NEC will help GoAP to get Japanese financial assistance for the project;to work out a detailed framework and plan of action including financial commitments for implementation of the safe city project at Tirupati and to establish a Centre of Excellence for Safe Cities and NEC Development Centre at mutually agreed locations in Andhra Pradesh.
As part of the MoU, it has been decided to form a steering committee that will have the representatives of ATS and NEC
