Amarnath Yatra Suspended From Jammu Due To Rains, Jmu-Sgr NH closed

The Amarnath Yatra was today suspended from here in view of inclement weather and blocked Jammu-Srinagar national highway due to the landslides after heavy rains.
“No fresh batch of pilgrims this morning left for Srinagar to proceed towards the Amarnath Cave Shrine,” a police official said.
He said heavy rains overnight and showers in the morning, triggered landslides on the highway in Udhampur and Ramban districts.
“The men are on job and the yatra will be allowed only after weather improves and road will be through for the traffic,” he maintained
