TMC To Go Alone In West Bengal Assembly Polls Next Year

The Trinamool Congress will fight next year’s Assembly elections in West Bengal on its own. The party supremo and Chief Minster Mamata Banerjee announced this at a public rally in Kolkata Tuesday.

Ms Banerjee came on heavily on opposition Congress, BJP and CPIM for continuous miscampaign against her government.

The Trinamool Congress Supremo said that her movements against discrimination to the State by Centre and unethical attitude of the ruling party will continue. Ms Banerjee in her speech mentioned developmental activities carried by her government in last four years.

The rally was organised in the memory of 13 youth congress activists who were killed in police firing on this day in 1993 in Kolkata during the Left Front Government regime in the State . The Trinamool Congress Supremo was State Youth Congress President at that time.

The Pradesh Congress also observed the day as martyr’s day today. The State Congress took out a procession in South Kolkata this afternoon to observe the day.

The State Congress President Mr Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has alleged that the Chief Minster has forgotten the Martyr’s for whom she has come to power.

Chowdhury criticized the State administration for denial of permission to hold public rally in South Kolkata Tuesday to observe.
