Brain-Dead Labourer Gives Life To 4 By Donating His Parts

A labourer who met with accident whileworking in a factory and declared brain dead by doctors gave life tofour people by donating his organs including kidney, eyes and heart.

Twenty-two-year-old Chetan, while working in a machine, wasseriously injured and immediately shifted to Sagar Hospitalwhere doctors declared him brain dead and advised his parents todonate his organs to give life to those requiring transplants.

Immediately after getting approval, the heart was transportedthrough ‘zero traffic’ facility provided by the Traffic Police toNarayana Hrudayalaya and other organs to various hospitals wheretransplantations were undertaken

Chetan, who hails from Ambalawadi Village in Mandya District ofKarnataka, had joined the factory on July 15 as a labourer and whileworking, he met with an accident in which he was seriously injured on his head and back.
