Nestle Replaces India Head Etienne Benet

Nestle Friday announced replacement of head of the Indian subsidiary Etienne Benet, following the ban on sale and production of its popular instant noodle `Maggi by the Centre and several states.
Benet will be replaced by Suresh Narayanan, a former Nestle India executive and currently chief executive of the company’s Philippines unit.
He will take the charge of embattled Nestle India from August 1.Etienne Benet, Managing Director, is leaving the company with effect from July 25 and will be relocating to Nestle Group Head Office in Switzerland, a statement from the company said.
Nestle has been at the centre of India’s worst food scare in a decade, after a regulator in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh in May found excess lead in a sample of its hugely popular Maggi noodles.
