Kejriwal Apologizes For Calling Cops Thulla

25 July, New Delhi

Alleging that the Delhi Police and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung are working under the directions of the Prime Ministers Office, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today warned that if the Modi government escalates confrontation with the Delhi Government further, it would have to pay the price in Bihar (elections).

Talking to a news channel, Kejriwal also apologised for calling cops Thulla. Admitting that the use of word for policemen was not appropriate, Kejriwal said he meant to use the word for dishonest officers.

He said he wanted to extend his apologies to honest police officers for his comment if it had hurt them.

Charging Prime Minister Modi of not letting the Delhi Government work, he alleged that Delhi Police and the L-G were working on the directions of PMO.

”PM Modi is not letting the Delhi government work properly. L-G Najeeb Jung and Police Commissioner Bassi are good human beings. We have no problem with them. However, they are being pressurised from above,” he said.

He alleged that PM Modi was misusing Delhi Police.
