Indian Eves Finish Third In Volvo Invitational U-21 Hockey Tournament

India’s under-21 women hockey team has finished third at the Volvo Invitational tournament. At Breda, The Netherlands on Sunday , they recorded a penalty shoot out win against England.

The two teams had ended 1-1 after regulation time. India took the lead in the 31st minute through forward Punam Barla. England equalised in the 68th minute when their skipper Hannah Martin successfully converted a penalty corner.

In the penalty shoot-out, India’s star goal-keeper Inderpreet Kaur saved all the shoot-outs and Deep Grace Ekka scored the winning goal for India.
