State Funeral For Kalam In Rameshwaram On Jul 30

Last rites for former President Abdul Kalam will be performed in his native town Rameshwaram with full military honours on July 30.

“State funeral of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam will be held with full military honours at 1100 hrs on Thursday, July 30, at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu”, a Home Ministry statement said here this afternoon.

The Government has announced a seven-day state mourning throughout the country for Dr Kalam, who passed away in Shillong last evening.
