Parl Deadlock: Centre Convenes All-Party Meeting Monday

The Government will make a fresh bid to end the two-week long deadlock in Parliament with an all-party meeting tomorrow.

Almost half of the monsoon session of Parliament has been washed out due to disruptions as opposition parties led by Congress are not allowing discussions while demanding resignations of External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan over the Lalit Modi controversy and Vyapam scam.

Senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia said Sunday that the logjam in Parliament will continue unless corruption issues involving BJP Ministers are resolved.

The party is likely to fine tune its strategy tomorrow, Monday at a meeting of Congress Parliamentary Party which will be addressed by Party Chief Sonia Gandhi.

The All Party meeting is being held when the Government and the BJP are giving no indication of accepting the Congress demand for resignations.
