Family Found Dead In Utkal University Campus Quarter

Three members of a family — man, his wife and son — were found hanging in their quarter inside the Utkal University campus here.

The deceased have been identified as Brajabandhu Acharya, a laboratory assistant in the Statistics Department of Utkal University, his wife Pratibha Acharya and their son Bishwajit Acharya.

Police said the bodies were found hanging in the garage of the quarter occupied by Brajabandhu.

Senior police officials have rushed to the spot and started investigating into the matter.

The reason for the deaths is yet to be ascertained. Sources said Bishwajit had borrowed from many people for his business and failed to return them in due time.

The family was disturbed as the people who had loaned them money were pressing them to return it.
