Do Not Add Fuel To Ayodhya issue: UP CM To Media

22 December, Shravasti

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today appealed to the media to not add fuel to the Ayodhya issue.

“Samajwadi party has always defeated the communal forces and as the Ayodhya matter is with the Supreme Court hence media should play a responsible role on the issue. The state government will always work as per the Constitution and law on Ayodhya issue,” he told reporters here.

About the stones being brought at Ayodhya for the Ram temple construction, the CM asked the media to be more responsible. The CM was in Shravasti to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several development schemes.

Yadav further said that it is a serious question before the BJP.

“Which way the BJP wants to take the country by raking up such issues,” the CM wondered. The CM announced a four-lane road project connecting Shravasti and Bahriach while a RCC road would be constructed between Balrampur and Gonda. “I have traveled on these roads during my rath yatra in the last assembly polls and know about the conditions,” he stated.

The CM also distributed laptops to 453 meritorous students, Kanya Vidya Dhan to 222 girls and Samajwadi Pension to 500 poor women.
