Mamata releases Trinamool manifesto for Bengal Assembly polls
11 March, Kolkata
Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee Friday released her party’s manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal.
Releasing the party’s 146-page election manifesto from her Kalighat residence, Ms Banerjee criticised the ‘understanding’ between the Left and Congress for the polls.
She said, “It’s an unethical alliance. When I left the Congress and formed Trinamool, I claimed that the flag of Congress had been sold to the CPI(M). My allegation has been proved now.”
The TMC supremo dedicated the manifesto to the “mother, earth and people” (Maa, Mati and Manush) of West Bengal.”
Our party believes in policies which are necessarily people-friendly, industry-friendly and farmer-friendly, and which serve the aspirations of all people, irrespective of caste, creed and religion,” Ms Banerjee said.
