Chhattisgarh allows Govt. Employees to Participate in Non-Political Activities of RSS

Chhattisgarh government through a notification has lifted the ban on participation of government employees in the non political activities of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh, RSS.

The ban which was imposed before Chhattisgarh was carved out of Madhya Pradesh, barred government employees from participating in RSS’ activities.

The notification was signed by Additional Secretary of General Administration Department KR Mishra.

However, the ban on participating in political activities is still in force.

The opposition Congress has protested against the move saying it will harm the democratic system of the country.
