J&K Govt Formation: Mehbooba meets Guv twice, discusses issues

Hours after meeting Governor NN Vohra at the Raj Bhawan, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti again met the Governor here, late this evening.”Ms Mufti, who left the Raj Bhawan at around 1700 hrs, later at 1910 hrs again visited the Governor’s House to meet Vohra,” sources said.

Sources said that senior PDP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig also accompanied the PDP Chief, while the meeting was still in progress.Sources claimed that Ms Mufti discussed political scenario vis-a-vis BJP-PDP coalition with the Governor.

Earlier, the PDP chief had staked the claim of Government formation in Jammu and Kashmir after BJP extended support to the party.She thanked BJP for extending support and said that the Jammu and Kashmir Government will be formed for peace, reconciliation and development of the state.Governor’s Rule was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir on January 8 after the death of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on January 7 at the AIIMS in New Delhi.
