Economic Survey-2014-15 presented in Lok Sabha, Projects Growth Rate Of Over 8 % next FY

The Economic Survey 2014-15 projected a Growth Rate of over 8% for the coming year.

Economic Survey highlights the need for balance between ‘Make in India’ and ‘Skilling India’.

The survey enlist various reform measures including de-regulation of diesel price, taxing energy products, replacing cooking gas subsidy by direct transfer on national scale, passing an ordinance to reform the coal sector among others.

It recommends reform of Railway’s Structure, Commercial Practices, Overhaul of Technology.

The survey report commends far reaching changes brought about on issue of sharing of revenues between centre and states as recommended by the 14 th Finance Commission.

The survey says with 100 per cent FDI permitted in film sector, the country is emerging as new favourite of international studios.
