Arrest warrant against suspended JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi for violating liquor ban

A local court of Gaya in Bihar Wednesday issued arrest warrant against suspended JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi in a case of violation of liquor prohibition. The MLC is at large after police lodged FIR against her following recovery of liquor from her residence.

On the request of Gaya police, the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) S.K. Jha issued the warrant against her.

Earlier, police and excise team sealed her house this morning in Gaya city. District administration has started process of confiscation of the property.

In an another development, the local court sent the main accused of Aditya Sachdeva murder case and son of MLC Rakesh Yadav alias Rockey on 48 hours of police remand. The police will start interrogation from tomorrow
