PDP-BJP Govt. Constitutes Cabinet Sub-Committee To Assess Long Term Needs Of Flood Victims

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a Cabinet sub-committee under the Minister in-charge of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department that will assess the immediate long-term needs of the people of the State affected by last year’s devastating floods.

The decision was taken at the first meeting of the State cabinet chaired by Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in Jammu after assuming the charge Monday .

The Cabinet took stock of the relief and rehabilitation effort mounted by the State Government in the wake of the devastating floods of September, 2014. The other members of the committee include Mr. Lal Singh, Haseeb A. Drabu, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, and Imran Raza Ansari.
