Can In No Way Support J&K CM Sayeed’s Controversial Statement , PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday assured the country that the government in Jammu and Kashmir will be run on the basis of Common Minimum Programme agreed to by the BJP and the PDP and not by statements.
Modi said, he can in no way support Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed’s controversial statement.
Replying to Motion of Thanks to President’s Address to the Joint Session of Parliament, Modi said in the Rajya Sabha, the NDA government will pursue the policy of Zero tolerance on terrorism.
He said, all resolutions passed by Parliament on Jammu and Kashmir will be implemented in letter and spirit. He applauded the people of Jammu and Kashmir for smooth conduct of Assembly elections in the state last year. He said, it enhanced the glory of India as they have voted in large numbers.
He said, there will be no compromise with the unity and integrity of the country.
Earlier, Modi dismissed the Oppositions’ charge that his government is working in the interest of the Corporates.
He asked whether the opposition considers projects like Jan Dhan Yojana, cleanliness, toilets in the schools are meant for Corporate sector. Modi said the government is working for the welfare of the common man and poor sections of the society. He said, most of the schemes launched by the NDA government was pro poor.
The Prime Minister questioned the opposition whether the programmes like Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and Soil Health Card to farmers was for corporates.The government has an ambition to provide insurance cover to all, he said.
The Prime Minister said, several social security schemes will be launched soon for the purpose as country’s poor wants a better life. He also rejected Congress allegation that NDA government is renaming the schemes of launched during UPA rule.
Modi stressed that country as a whole will not grow without the contribution of states. He credited people, every Central and State government for their contribution to India’s progress. Modi said, that his government has not issued any threat to any opposition party in connection with black money.
Later, the Rajya Sabha adopted the Motion with an Amendment regretting that there was no mention in the Address to curb corruption and bring back black money. The amendment moved by Sitaram Yechury of the CPI(M) with 118 members voting in favour and 57 against.
