Calcutta Hard Court Tennis Championship begin from tomorrow

The age old Calcutta Hard Court Tennis Championship, one of the most prestigious state ranking tennis tournaments of Bengal, is slated to begin from tomorrow.

The championship will organised by the Calcutta South Club Ltd on its clay as well as synthetic tennis courts.

The tournament has attracted around 400 entries, with around 270 participants playing the junior singles events only. It will be spread over two weeks and will witness the finals on September 25.

The events of this year’s championship are: Boys Singles Under 10, 12, 14 and 18, Girls Singles Under 12, 14 & 18, Boys Doubles Under 18, Men’s Handicap Singles & Doubles, Men’s Open Singles & Doubles, Womens Open Singles, Veteran’s Singles & Doubles and Parent & Child Handicap Doubles.
