All Political Parties laud surgical strikes by Indian Army

All Political Parties have lauded surgical strikes by Indian Army on terror launch pads across the Line of Control and assured the government their full support in facing any situation.
The DGMO briefed the leaders about the strike at an all party meeting convened by the government in New Delhi this evening.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu said, the leaders unanimously complimented the Army for the operation.
He informed that the surgical strike targeted 5 to 6 places across LoC along Kupwara and Poonch and there is no casualty on Indian side.
He said these terrorists were planning to attack some towns and important places which prompted Army to act.
Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad asserted that opposition will always extend support to the government action to counter the Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav also echoed the same view saying cross border terrorism should be dealt in this manner only.
BJP Chief Amit Shah, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra and NCP Chief Sharad Pawar are among others who attended the meeting.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Susham Swaraj as well as National Security Advisor Ajit Doval were also present.
Earlier in the day, Home Minister had informed Chief Ministers of Punjab, West Bengal and Odisha about the strikes.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and briefed her about army’s surgical strikes.
