India to take on Canada in campaign opener of Jr Hockey World Cup

Host India will take on Canada in the opening tie of the upcoming Jr Hockey World Cup, slated to be held in Lucknow in December.

Announcing the schedule of the mega event, International Hockey Federation said that the opening ceremony will be held in Lucknow at 1730 hrs, followed by the encounter featuring India and Canada at 1900 hrs.

The 16 teams participating in this tournament have been divided in four groups while India has been placed in group D alongwith Canada, South Africa and England.
