Odisha CM not to celebrate birthday to pay respect to martyrs fighting against terrorism

As a mark of respect to the martyr who laid down their lives fighting against terrorists, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not celebrate his birthday tomorrow.
Chief Minister’s Office sources here said Mr Patnaik would not celebrate his birthday this year which falls tomorrow in memory of the martyr who made supreme sacrifices in fighting against terrorism.
The chief minister has requested his party leaders, workers and well wishers not to throng Naveen Nivas, his residence tomorrow to greet him on his birthday.
Patnaik also asked the well wishers not to celebrate or organise any programmes in the state for his birthday.
In the past also the chief minister had kept himself away from birthday celebration during cyclone, floods and the devastating Phailin and Hudhud cyclone which caused extensive damages to the state and rendered thousands of people homeless.
