Triumph launches new Bonneville T100 in South India

British luxury motorcycle maker Triumph Thursday launched its latest offering all-new Bonneville T100and a top company official said the new model would help the companyemerge as top seller of luxury motorcycles in India.

Speaking to UNI, Triumph Motorcycles India Managing DirectorVimal Sumbly said currently Triumph is placed second in the Indianmarket in terms of sales and it had sold 3300 bikes since its entryinto the country three years ago. Out of this Bonneville sales was 1250.

Priced at Rs 7.96 lakh ex-showroom Bengaluru, the 900 ccBonneville T100 would attract even the youth as they were nowinclined to own classic bikes and the new model, based on legendary’59 Bonneville, will make owning an original icon easier than everbefore. It was lighter at 213 kg gross weight compared to T120range, easy to manage and with over 150 accessories available, it isready to personalise, Sumbly said.

He said last year the company sold 1300 bikes and over 40 percent of them were classic Bonnevilles.

”Our Bonneville range is unmatched in terms of performance andclassic appeal,” he added.
The company assembles its superbikes at its Manesar plant. Theimports are sourced from Britain and Thailand plants.
