End of illegal mining in Bundelkhand can change scenarios in the region: Amit Shah

Stressing on development of Uttar Pradesh as their only agenda, BJP national president Amit Shah Sunday said that face of Bundelkhand can change in no time if illegal mining is stopped and benefits announced by Union Government reaches every household in this rugged region.
“Many states like Maharashtra and Gujarat have faced drought similar to Bundelkhand but governments in those state were receptive to the demand of people but the Akhilesh Government turned a Nelson’s eye to the plight of drought-hit people of this region,” Shah said while flagging off the a second leg of Parivartan Yatra here after worshipping at the Pitambara Devi temple in nearby Datia in Madhya Pradesh.
He said the Samajwadi Party Government was more concerned about money it is earning from illegal mining. The volume of this illegal money is so high that from that each family of Bundelkhand can buy a Maruti car. “When BJP Government will come to UP it will stop illegal mining here. If we are able to stop this racket, the face of Bundelkhand in particular and that of Uttar Pradesh in general will change in no time,” he said adding that the BJP Government will also free land from encroachers within a week if the party cones to power after the next year assembly elections.
Shah talked in detail about the schemes the Modi government has launched for the welfare of people. “The money is not reaching you. I know this because in between there is state government which does not want that you should progress. When BJP will form government in UP the speed of development will double up because both central and state government will be in sync,” he said.
“What this Government has given to you except goondas and criminals. Throw away this corrupt and in-efficient government. I assure you that Uttar Pradesh will be one of the most prosperous states of the country if you people vote for BJP,” he said adding that BJP wants development but BSP and SP are anti-people.In his around 35 minute speech, he talked about corruptions in state government and how people are suffering because of poor law and order. He talked about lack of employment opportunities in UP and how youth are forced to go out of their hearth to earn their living.
“You people made BJP government at the Centre. Look in this two and half year no one can raise a finger at us. We have given transparent government and are accountable for every penny we spend,” he said.
BJP national president also said that party is against triple talaq. “Constitution has given equal right to women of all region. We should respect that,” he said.
Earlier he was given a rousing welcome when he reached Jhansi along with union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra and Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati.
Later he flagged off the second leg of Parivartan Yatra.
Ms Bharati will lead the second phase yatra in the Bundelkhand region. Yesterday, Shah had flagged off the first Parivartan yatra from Saharanpur in western UP in the run for the 2017 UP polls. The third yatra will be flagged off from Sonebhadra on November 8 and the fourth and last from Ballia on the next day.
