Modi, May walk and talk at Hyderabad House

In a sign of rare bonhomie, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Theresa May Monday had one-on-one talks during a stroll at the lawns of Hyderabad House, before they led their sides in the structured delegation level talks.

Modi welcomed Ms May at Hyderabad House, the venue of bilateral meeting between the prime ministers, and took her to a walk to the lush green garden as the pollution level also had receded with air becoming less suffocating.

“A time for reflection; an occasion to forge a special connection. The Prime Ministers take a walk in the gardens of Hyderabad House,” MEA official spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted about the on-one-on meeting.

He also posted couple of photos in which Mr Modi and Ms May were seen engaged in serious discussions while walking in the imposing lawns of the grand Hyderabad House.

The last such display of close friendship was visible, when Modi had hosted a tea session for US President Barack Obama in January last year.
