Mamata Banerjee First Time Meets PM Modi , Urges Waiving Debt Of West Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House Monday afternoon. It was her first one to one meeting with Modi after the new government took over at the Centre.

Later, talking to media outside Parliament, Ms Banerjee said, she has requested Modi to waive the debt of the West Bengal government.

Ms Banerjee said, she also discussed the disbursement of the amount related to MGNREGA and Integrated Child Development Scheme with the Prime Minister.

After the one-to-one meeting, another meeting was held between the Prime Minister and TMC MPs in which Ms Banerjee was also present.
