Satluj Yamuna Link canal: All 42 Cong MLAs resign from Punjab assembly

All 42 Congress members of Punjab Assembly Friday handed over their resignations to Speaker Punjab Assembly after Supreme Court’s yesterday’s verdict on Satluj Yamuna Link canal issue.

In the absence of speaker, resignation letters were handed over to Secretary, Punjab Assembly.

Talking to newsmen on this occasion party president Captain Amrinder Singh said, no water is there in the rivers of Punjab to spare for other States.

He said, the party MLAs resigned en-masse from the State assembly, in protest against the injustice meted out to the people of the State.
