Lalu asks PM to select his favourite “Chauraha” to accept punishment for demonetisation failure

27 December, Patna

Reminding the Prime Minister about his readiness to face punishment after the 50 day window, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today asked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to select his favourite “Chauraha”(roundabout) where people could punish him as the much touted ‘demonetisation’ had failed completely.

Without naming Modi, Prasad in a tweet said PM should choose his favourite “Chauraha” where people should punish him for creating a chaotic condition in name of demonetisation to fight black money. “While assuring the countrymen that their hardship would be over after 50 days ending on December 30, Modi had offered himself to be punished by people on any round about if demonetisation move failed,” RJD chief said adding that common man was still strugglingto withdraw their money from banks while those who stashed black money felt no pinch in so called mega exercise against unaccounted money.

Prasad, after flagging off “campaign vehicles” of the party for statewide “Mahadharna” to be staged by RJD on December 28 to protest against demonetisation, told media persons that BJP would more crushing defeat in Uttar Pradesh assembly poll than the saffron party suffered in Bihar assembly elections last year. “BJP will nowhere in the picture after Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in the state,” Prasad maintained and also supported the stand of Shiv Sena on note ban.

As it is, PM Modi had vowed to accept the punishment of the people in any round about in the country if his government failed to mitigate the sufferings of the common man till December 30, the deadline fixed by him for the same.
