Expelled SP MLA Rampal Yadav reinstated in UP

Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has revoked the expulsion of Sitapur MLA Rampal Yadav from the party.
Rampal Yadav was expelled from the party early this year by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav as he then also held the post of the state president of the party. The MLA was expelled from the party following the complaints of encroachment on public land and unauthorised construction in Lucknow and Sitapur.
The announcement of the reinstate of the expelled MLA was announced by state party president Shivpal Singh Yadav on the direction of Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav here today.However the reinstatement letter said that the expulsion was withdrawn on condition that Rampal Yadav will not indulge in any indiscipline in future.
The trouble for Rampal Yadav began during the panchyat elections earlier this year. In defiance of the directives of the party, he had fielded his son Jitendra Yadav as candidate for the post of chairman of the district panchayat against the official candidate of the party. Jitendra Yadav won the election. Soon after the elections, Rampal Yadav was suspended from the party.
Following the complaints against the party MLA about illegal possession of public land and unauthorised construction in Lucknow and Sitapur, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had ordered an inquiry. The inquiry established the charges and the state government ordered for the demolition of the illegal structures.
Rampal Yadav had clashed with the officials of the Lucknow Development authority in January this year when they had gone to demolish the illegal commercial building constructed by him in Jiamau area of the state capital.
The MLA along with his son was arrested and sent to jail. An illegal hotel constructed by the MLA on Lucknow Sitapur National highway was also demolished by the district administration of Sitapur. Taking serious view of the complaints against the party MLA, Mr Akhilesh Yadav had expelled him from the party.
Rampal Yadav had vigorously campaigned against the Samajwadi Party and the Chief Minister during the Rajya Sabha elections and the biennial elections to the Legislative council held in June this year. In both the elections, he had voted against the Samajwadi Party.
