Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Sits On 24-Hour Fast In Patna Protesting Land Bill

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will sit on a 24-hour fast in Patna today- Saturday as part of Janata Dal (United)’s stir against the Land Acquisition Bill.

State JD(U) President Basistha Narayan Singh will also participate in the fast to begin at 10 AM at the party headquarters.

A party spokesman said, JD(U) MPs, MLAs and office bearers will take part in the fast to be observed across the state against the Bill.

Kumar had strongly protested against the Land Acquisition Bill when it was introduced by Narendra Modi government in Parliament. He said, Bihar would not implement it at any cost.
