Historic Bronze Statue Of Mahatma Gandhi Unveiled At Parliament Square In London

A historic bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled on Saturday at the Parliament Square in London. The statue was unveiled jointly by British Prime Minister David Cameron and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

On this occasion Cameron said the statue is a magnificent tribute to one of the most towering figures in the history of world politics and by putting Mahatma Gandhi in the famous Square Britain is giving him an eternal home.

The statue unveiled standing adjacent to iconic leaders like Britain’s former Prime Minister Winston Churchill and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela.
