Pakistan Stays Release Of Mumbai Attack Master Mind Lakhvi For One More Month

Zakiur Rahman Lakhvi, a key planner of the Mumbai terror attack, will stay in jail for one more month. The decision was reportedly taken by Pakistan in the wake of protests from India and pressure from US .

Pakistani daily, Express Tribune reports that Punjab interior ministry Saturday issued orders to restore Lakhvi’s detention.

The orders come a day after the Islamabad High Court ordered his release, declaring his detention illegal.

Reacting to the latest order of extending Lakhvi’s detention, his lawyer said that the order has been slapped on him due to pressure from the Indian government. The lawyer said they would challenge the order in the High Court.
