11 Maoists Surrender in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, eleven Maoists, including five hardcore Maoists surrendered before the police in tribal Bijapur district of Bastar region on Saturday.

These Maoists surrendered before IG police of Bastar division S.R.P. Kalluri in Bijapur district headquarter. Senior officials of CRPF were also present on this occasion.

Three surrendered Maoists were carrying a reward of eight lakh rupees each. These surrendered Maoists were wanted in several cases related to maoist violence.

Meanwhile, a team of security forces recovered seven bombs near Bhairamgarh region in Bijapur district.

These bombs were recovered by the security forces from the Pungari hills during search operations. Later Bomb disposal Squad defused these bombs. These bombs might be planted by the Maoists to target security forces.
